Dan Sicko, 40, is a writer, creative director and digital strategist.

Prior to writing Techno Rebels, his articles appeared in several publications including Rolling Stone, Wired, Urb, Res, Raygun and Alternative Press. In 1993, he launched Reverb, one of the first digital music magazines (originally distributed via diskette and FTP!).

Sicko has lectured on techno music to audiences at UCLA, University of Michigan-Dearborn and the Cranbrook Academy of Art. He also lectured in Leipzig on Detroit culture and contributed an essay as part of the Shrinking Cities project.
